Havana & Varadero – a successful combination

Havana is the most interesting city in the Caribbean to see with its romantic colonial plazas, striking architecture and pastel colour buildings, vibrant street life and a great night scene. A good selection of hotels is available in Havana including modern and classic colonial hotels, some with conference facilities, swimming pool and cabaret nightclub. Outside of Havana, Varadero is an excellent choice with many all-inclusive beach resort and spa hotels, conference and meeting rooms, water sports and entertainment. The beaches there are considered to be some of the best in the world and many excursion possibilities in the area.

Dine-outs

We select some of the best restaurants providing both local and international cuisine for dine-outs. Recommended would be an exclusive evening of cocktails, canapés and gourmet cuisine at the DuPont Mansion while the sun sets over the Gulf of Mexico or a traditional Cuban farm to savour some delicious Creole cuisine with horse riding included. At the hotels we can provide either a poolside dinner or a BBQ beach party. All suggested dining can be provided with top quality entertainment. Gala Dinner at the DuPont Mansion It is the option for a chic evening in Varadero. It takes place in the former property of the famous American multimillionaire DuPont of Nemours, (also known as The Xanadu Mansion), located next to the international 18 hole golf course and club of Varadero, on a cliff dominating the sea. Dining can take place in various rooms of the mansion according to your desires and the importance of the group. The tables can be given a circular arrangement usually very well conceived and achieved. The china is very luxurious. Lobster and steaks are a specialty. Upon arrival, a local welcome cocktail and canapés are served, traditionally, on the terrace of the mansion facing the sea. The meals are commonly animated by musical accompaniment. Dining in style as a refined finale to your trip!

Entertainment

There are many entertainment possibilities that can be added to dining events or other activities. We can provide some of Cuba's top artists such as the Havana Rakatan dance troupe, or a lively Salsa band when the participants can practice some of their dance steps. Maybe a fashion show followed by a classical performance by the Camerata Romeo all female string orchestra or a quartet of top opera singers, or an Afro Cuban folk show on the beach, or a unique performance of human statues. There is a pulsating nightlife in Cuba and we can take you to places like the Tropicana Cabaret in Havana which is world famous with 200 artists on stage performing under the stars. A performance of the celebrated Buena Vista Social Club could also be arranged. For a more classical experience a performance of the Cuban National Ballet at the Gran Teatro in Havana is awe inspiring.

Salsa Dance Classes

As an optional activity we can arrange for the participants to learn how to salsa dance, Cuban style. A prize can be given for the best team or participant partners. The event will be facilitated by professional Salsa dance teachers. Alternatively, participants can spend a late night at a typical Cuban nightclub.

The VIP Havana Connaisseur Service

As an alternative to hotels we offer our special "Havana Connaisseur" package suitable for a small VIP group; with a selection of the best hotel suites, or villas with private swimming pools, butler and chef service. Also private limousines, private tour guides, entrance to the private members Club Habana, and reserved tables at selected restaurants. Try our VIP airport service to fast track participants through Immigration and Customs with refreshments in the VIP lounge while a valet collects and clears luggage through Customs and brings landside.

Cigars & Rum

Participants can have the opportunity to visit some of Cuba.s tobacco plantations, and cigar factories such as Romeo & Julieta where one can see the processes involved in hand rolled Havana cigars as part of their itinerary. Transportation with a difference

We use luxury air conditioned tour coaches for all transfers. For a more select service we can provide a fleet of classic 50's American cars. We also offer something very special using a fleet of Coco Taxis which carry two passengers in a three wheel vehicle shaped like a coconut. For a more traditional and romantic ride try horse-drawn carriages. An excursion on the Hershey Chocolate Train through the Cuban countryside and sugar plantations is a fun event for participants. Onboard we provide an open bar, a Cuban band and dancing with cabaret gals and guys. Our classic American car excursion is also very popular. A typical half day trip would be driving to the main places of interest in Havana such as the Revolution Square, the Malecon seafront also known as the "sala", or as a transfer to the Tropicana Show.

Catamaran Cruise, Dolphins & Paradise Island

One of the highlights for added-value is a full day excursion in Varadero sailing aboard a catamaran with open bar, music, snorkeling on coral reefs, interacting with dolphins and a seafood lunch at a paradise island. Highly enjoyable and well recommended.

The Hall of Fame at the Nacional Hotel depicts many of the guests that stayed at this hotel over the years such as Winston Churchill, Frank Sinatra, Errol Flynn and Meyer Lanski, the ex-Mafia boss, among others. Take a private guided tour following the Hemingway Trail to some of Hemingway's haunts where he perfected his art of drinking Daiquiris, Mojito's and Cuba Libre's, the hotel where he wrote his novels and a visit to his house which is now a museum. as well as visiting the fishing village where he and his boat captain spent many nostalgic days drinking and eating the days catch in the now famous La Terraza bar.

Deep Sea Game Fishing, Cuban Country Jeep & Boat Safari or a round of Golf.

Offshore deep sea game fishing adventures and tournaments add a team competitive spirit to an event. The Gulf of Mexico has some of the best Marlin fishing. Alternatively, a self-drive jeep safari through the Cuban countryside is very exciting as a full day excursion that includes a typical Cuban farm lunch and later self-drive speed boats on the Canimar River. There is also an 18 hole international golf course located in Varadero where we can arrange a mini tournament and lashings of beer at the “19th Hole Bar”.

Day 1 Welcome to Cuba

Day 2 Havana Highlights - Cigars, Rum & Tropicana Cabaret

Various Tour Options of indigenous venues – Guests will be able to choose from a variety of tours and activities only available in Havana. Enjoy a guided walking tour of the historic and architecturally rich colonial centre of Old Havana. Visit one of Havana’s famous cigar factories where you will see all the processes involved in hand rolled Habanos cigars. Taste the legendary rum of Cuba at the La Bocoy rum factory.
Off Property Dinner – Dine in the courtyard of the elegant El Patio Restaurant, previously a palatial residence of Creole royalty. Located in the romantic Cathedral Plaza, the property transforms your guests to a more stately time.
Hot Havana Nights – Havana is Hot! Hot! Hot! Enjoy a night at the world famous Tropicana Cabaret is an indigenous must-have Havana event, with over 200 artists performing on stage backed by a 30 piece orchestra under the stars.

Day 3 Havana – American Cars, Revolution Square, Hemingway, Hershey Train

Various Tour Options of indigenous venues - Drive in a convoy of classic 50’s American cars from your property along the Malecon waterfront and onto the Revolution Square to see where Fidel Castro made many of his speeches and a building size image of the iconic Che Guevara. Visit Ernest Hemingway’s farm house when he lived in Cuba for 20 years. Travel through the Cuban countryside and sugar cane plantations on the 1930’s electric Hershey ‘Chocolate’ train.

Off Property Dinner – A popular dining experience of Cubans and tourists is a typical Creole rustic dinner at El Ajibe Restaurant in an open air rancho with endless servings of the house special roast chicken and salsa sauce, ‘Moros y Cristianos’ rice dish, ‘frijoles’ black beans and root vegetables.

Day 4 Varadero – Sun, Sea & Fun

Leave Havana to enter the Hicacos Peninsula where the world famous pristine white power beaches and azure waters greet you. Relax at the all inclusive luxury facilities of the property overlooking the Gulf of Mexico where guests can indulge themselves in the radiant sun and the breezes of the tropical trade winds. Salsa Dance Lessons – To prepare guests for tomorrow nights event Salsa dance teachers will offer their expertise and engage guests in the sensuous styles of the enchanting moves and steps.

Day 5 Varadero – Catamaran Cruise Adventure and Gala Night Theme Dinner

Catamaran Cruise Adventure - Set sail this morning for an exclusive catamaran day cruise with seafood lunch at a paradise island, open bar, music, snorkeling over coral reefs and interacting with dolphins.
Gala Night Theme Dinner & Dance – on property private dinner with live entertainment set either on the beach, around the poolside or in a function room. The theme – guests dress in light tropical white clothes, women with flowers in their hair and men with straw hats. Entertainment options include Aqua Ballet, Afro Cuban Show, Cuban Music Group, DJ with local and international sounds, Salsa Dance Troupe.

Day 6 VIP Departures

Private transfers for your guests back to the airport for their return home. Assistance given during check-in process.
